Who Is CSE?

CSE is led by Dr. Daniel B. Botkin, president and founder. Considered by many to be a global leader among environmental scientists, Dr. Botkin also is a Professor for the Department of Biology at George Mason University. As the author of more than 100 books and articles, including Discordant Harmonies: A New Ecology for the 21st Century; Forest Dynamics: An Ecological Model; Environmental Science: Earth as a Living Planet (co-author) Our Natural History: Lessons from Lewis and Clark; and his latest book, Nobody's Garden: Thoreau and Nature, published in January of 2001. Dr. Botkin is one of the most published scientists on environmental issues.

CSE utilizes additional scientists on a contract basis. Many are recognized top people in their specialties.

The CSE Advisory Board is composed of prominent scientists from several disciplines. Advisory Board members are available to assist in project analysis and evaluations. In addition, they serve in the establishment of goals and objectives.
